Tafetta fabrics are made out of filature silk which are fine yarn and thin, closely woven and very glossy. They are basically used for dress material; it can also be used as furnishing material. The silk yarn used is so fine that 9000 mtrs of the yarn weighs just 22 - 44 grams.
